History of Institute
ITI Srinagar was established in 1958 with an objective of imparting skills in various vocational trades to meet the skilled manpower requirement of industry. ITI Srinagar is situated at NH 07 Badrinath Marg.Srinagar Garhwal is well known and famous for being education hub. Also it is famous for imparting technical education in all aspects because NIT, Engineering College Chauras Campus and Polytechnic are situated here. There are 544 sheats 544 in 13(Thirteen) different trades of Engineering & Non- Engineering field, of one or two year’s duration.
The courses are affiliated to National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT), through the Directorate General of Employment and Training (DGET), Government of India in the Ministry of Skill Development And Entrepreneurship, New Delhi.
The ITI is running at the Own building and it was constructed by NABARD. Also this institute is covered under the UKWDP project of World Bank.
